This is an original early WWII issue US Navy Bureau of Aeronautics issueType M-450 summer flying helmet. Same type as used during the Battle of Midway.This is in mint unused condition. Retains the original Bu Aero label indicatinga desirable size 7 3/8. Included is an original oyster colored chin cup. Madeof khaki poplin material. Pappy Boyington wore an M-450 along with many otherfamous Aviator’s. Great size and condition. Always hard to find in mintcondition after nearly 80 years. Don’t miss it.
