The 1931 Colonial Exposition/World's Fair in Paris is one of those expos that the majority of collectors know little if anything about. It certainly wouldn't be a politically correct topic today--celebrating all of France's colonies around the world! But the fair provided us with some very handsome medals.You can see from the photo that the planchets are quite thick.
I am listing TWO separate sales from 1931 Paris--this one for Oceanie or the island colonies of France at the time and the other for Africa and its French colonies still under the French's thumb, uh, er, control as of 1931.
