Jackson Mississippi: A Special Place SIGNED to Bea Quisenberry, Clinton Library:
$31.00
Offered here is JACKSON: A SPECIAL KIND OF PLACE, written by Carroll Brinson and published in 1977 by the City of Jackson. Brinson inscribed, then signed this copy to Bea Quisenberry who, along with her husband, W.Y. Quisenberry, owned and operated THE CLINTON NEWS newspaper for many years. They owned a considerable amount of property and donated the land where the Quisenberry Public Library now stands on East Northside Drive in Clinton. Laid in this copy are 7 pages of additional information about Brinson and Quisenberry. The book is dark brown hardcover, 8-3/4" x 11-1/4" in size (as large as a college annual/yearbook), 381 pages with 8 chapters, 11 appendices, a bibliography, and an index. It was limited to a 3000-copy print run. I would have graded the book as being in Like New condition, but there are several small spots of unknown origin on the side edge. There are no spots on the top or bottom edges. The DJ has considerable wear, tears, and chips, but it did its job and protected the book! There are also over 200 photos, maps, and illustrations in the book!
It will be carefully packaged to insure safe shipping. Free tracking.
