This very lovely painting shows the Madonna and Child,under the cover of night and a full yellow moon,as they begin their long flight into Egypt . The Madonna gazes down prayerfully in sorrow, as the Child looks back from behind her protective cloak with a look of concern. The dark blue tones of the night and their robes beautifully draws your eye to their faces and the importance of the moment. The painting was created in 2003 by a French Artist with the monogram RM.
