PM-3A is a nuclear power plant being built under contract tothe US Atomic Energy Commission by the nuclear division of the Martin Company.It will be shipped from the United States to Antarctica in November 1961 forinstallation by “SeaBees” at McMurdo Sound… the Naval Air facility which is theprincipal base of operations for all US scientific efforts in Antarctica.
