From the June 2010 issue of Playboy (and later reprinted in The Art of Doug Sneyd on page 100), this original art features the hand-colored Xerox of the pencil sketch which measures approximately 7 1/2 by 11 inches. Sneyd made a Xerox copy of the pencil sketch, then hand-colored that Xerox (and this is an earlier rough than the final version that was ultimately used). This is part of the artists creative process in making the final cartoon as it will ultimately appear in the magazine. Also included is a Xerox copy of the page from the magazine that features the finished cartoon as it was published in the issue (please note that the yellow sticky note is part of the scan and therefore cannot be removed). Would look great framed together! Please note that the magazine itself is not included in with the listing. The listing is for the hand-colored Xerox of the pencil sketch and the Xerox copy of the page featuring the final cartoon from the magazine.

About Doug Sneyd:

Doug Sneyd began his career incommercial illustration before going freelance to work for a variety of book and magazine publishers. He also illustrated single-panel cartoons for theToronto Star, Canada's largest circulation newspaper (cartoons that were eventually syndicated throughout North America). In 1964, he began working for Playboyand hisgag strips have appeared in the magazine ever since. Throughout his career, he has contributed over 500 cartoons in all and became a favorite artist of Playboy readers.
