This is a rare, high quality, large Campo Del Cielo meteorite that has been analyzed (its chemical composition has been confirmed) and authenticated by a meteorite expert. It has many nice large regmaplypts (dimples) with remnants of fusion crust which further enhance the aesthetic appeal of this meteorite. This fragment originates from the Campo Del Cielo meteorite strike. The Campo Del Cielo strike was a notable impact event that occured approximately 3000-5000 years ago about 1000 kilometers north-west of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
