Bonnie and Clyde Rare Bank Robbery Location Relic.

Taken from a piece originally displayed in a museum, this is the original floor from the R.P. Henry Bank, robbed by Bonnie and Clyde in 1934. Originally donated to the museum by Author Jonathan Davis who wrote the book “Bonnie & Clyde, and Marie” this is a true piece of true crime and American history.

On February 10th, 1934 the Bonnie & Clyde gang would rob a National Guard Armory of automatic weapons. A little over 2 weeks later the gang would use these weapons to pull of another brazen bank robbery.

On February 27, 1934, while Bonnie Parker waited in the getaway car, Clyde and Raymond Hamilton walked into the R.P. Henry & Sons Lancaster Texas bank, and walked out with over $6,000, after forcing L.L. Henry and several customers to lie on the cold tile floor.

Little did they know at the time, but this infamous couple would be dead just 3 months later. Clyde Barrow and his companion, Bonnie Parker, were shot to death by officers in an ambush near Sailes, Bienville Parish, Louisiana on May 23, 1934, after one of the most colorful and spectacular manhunts the nation had seen up to that time.
