Based on this coming out of my family and knowing something of its origin along with the leather clad case and catch, I am confident this dates to around 1900-1914. It is a single meerschaum and amber cigaretter holder in a case made for a pair. Brand marked inside the case "Genuine Meerschaum Guaranteed" "Vienna", this is the real thing. The two parts are very finely threaded together, and it is a work of quality.
