Antique French Textile 1850 Blue Chintz Floral Tiny Rose, Rosebud, Foliage Sprays
This stunning, mid 19th C French textile is the prettiest small scale floral with tiny blue roses pattern on grey patterned ground.Lightweight chintz material with a tight dense weave. I am not detecting any glaze present although you may notice a very light sheen. It will have some light wrinkling that may be ironed out, from the natural folds within the curtain.The tiny bouquet floral sprays in blue and white roses are quite charming, with a lovely picotage design surrounding the florals.This lovely French chintz material was once a boudoir curtain, suspended from a large bedframe in France.Stunning tiny blue roses pattern on grey patterned ground.
